about

"...one of the new piano generation's major thinkers."
Time Out New York

"Top Ten List Best Recordings 2001" All About Jazz

Eric Reed is back. Stronger than ever. When you think of hard-driving swing, daring expression, sophistication and elegance in artistry, formidable technique and a thunderous sound, there are only a small handful of young pianists you think of - and one of them is most assuredly pianist Eric Reed. But don't think of him as just a pianist - Eric is one of the new generation's most advanced thinkers in jazz music. Eric Reed has an obvious love of great melody and although he has come up with quite sophisticated arrangements it is the melodies on this album that shine. Enjoy 9 Eric Reed originals (plus Mood Indigo) performed by 12 jazz greats.
